Checkout a Northwood Tech Laptop

*** If you have not already, be sure to submit a MyHelp ticket for this laptop request so that staff will be alerted to your completion of the lending agreement. If you have submitted a ticket, be sure to reply to it to alert the staff that you have completed this step. ***

Requesting/Logging into a Northwood Tech Laptop

  1. Complete the following Technology Lending Checkout Agreement form.
    Technology Lending Checkout Agreement Form
           The form can be completed from another computer or smartphone.    
           You must complete this form before obtaining a laptop.
  2. Important:  If picking up a laptop from a Northwood campus:
           Login with your Northwood credentials before leaving campus. 
           This will allow you to login to your Northwood account from home. 
  3. From home:  Connect to your home internet/Wi-Fi.
  4. If you are connecting to the laptop from home for the first time, you will need to connect to the VPN client before logging in to the laptop. (This option may only be available for select program students) 
    • Click the icon in the picture below (located in the lower right corner of the screen), then select Northwoodtech.

    • You will be prompted to enter a username and password. Please enter your 8-digit student ID and your password.

    • Once you connect to the VPN client, you can return to the login screen and enter your 8-digit student ID and your password.
  1. If you experience any issues connecting from home, reply to your MyHelp ticket so an agent can assist you.
