Video Walkthrough can be found here: Setup Microsoft Authenticator App

1. When signing into your account, you will be prompted to enter more information.

Click on the Next button to proceed. Another box will pop-up requesting additional verification information.

2. You will be required to select the Microsoft Authenticator App.

3. If you do not have the Microsoft Authenticator app installed, please follow the steps listed in this step.
If you have the Microsoft Authenticator app installed, please skip to Step #4.

To install the Microsoft Authenticator app:

Install the latest version of the Microsoft Authenticator app, based on your operating system:

Open the app once it has finished downloading.

If prompted, allow notifications, select Add account, and then select Work or school account.

Note:  You might receive a prompt asking to allow the app to access your camera (iOS) or to take pictures and record video (Android).
You must select Allow so the app can use your camera to take a picture of the QR code in the next step.

If you don't allow the camera access, you can still set up the authenticator app, but you'll need to add the code information manually.

4. Return to the Additional security verification screen from Step 2 and click on the Set up button.

A QR code should appear. Scan this QR code with the Microsoft Authenticator app on your device.

After you scan the QR code, click on the Next button.

The authenticator app should successfully add your work or school account.

Note: If the app can't read the code, you can select Can't scan the QR code and manually enter the code and URL into the app. For more information on how to do this: Manually add an account to the app.

5. Select Next on the Scan the QR code page on your computer. Approve the test notification that was sent to the Microsoft Authenticator app on your device.

6. Approve the notification in the app, and then select Next

7. Once approved, click Next. You might receive a Success message. You can click on the blue Done button.

If you run into issues during this process please note the last step you were able to complete, then follow up with the technician you are working with.
