How to clear my browser cache - mobile devices

You may be asked to delete your mobile browser cache.  Your computer stores these temporary files to load websites quicker, type in URLs faster and keep you logged into sites.  When a website or service is updated, it may be necessary to clear your cache before the changes take effect for you.  Follow the steps or links below to clear your cache.

 

Android phone or tablet

 

Chrome:

  • Open the Chrome app
  • Tap the more menu
  • Tap History in the menu
    • If your address bar is at the bottom, swipe up on the address bar.  Tap History 
  • Tap the Clear Browsing Data link
  • Next to Time Range, select Last hour
  • Tap Clear Data

iPhone & iPad

 

Chrome:

  • Open the Chrome app
  • Tap the more menu
  • Tap “History” in the menu
  • At the bottom, tap Clear Browsing data
  • Tap on time range and select All time, then tap back
  • Tap Clear browsing data
  • At the top right, tap Done.

Safari:

  • Go to the Settings app
  • Scroll and select the Safari app
  • Scroll down and tap Clear History and Website Data

Edge:

  • Open the Edge app
  • Tap the more menu at the bottom of the screen
  • Tap Settings
  • Tap Privacy and Security
  • Tap Clear Browsing Data
  • Tap Time range and select All Time, then tap back
  • Tap Clear Now
